Anyone looking for a refreshing summer drink without alcohol this year should make a note of espresso with orange juice.

Cold brew coffee, iced latte and golden milk were yesterday - the new summer drink is even more exotic and healthier!

Even if you don't think so at first glance, the combination of espresso and orange juice tastes good and is refreshing.

The fact that you can mix espresso with orange juice is new to many.

Anyone who is on platforms like TikTok and Instagram has certainly seen it under the hashtag #espressoorangejuice: espresso that is infused with orange juice instead of milk.

It makes sense to simply mix the two breakfast drinks that are otherwise only drunk separately.

What you need for the new trendy drink:

  • espresso

  • Freshly squeezed orange juice

  • ice cubes

For a cup or a glass, prepare an espresso in a portafilter machine or on the stovetop.

Let it cool down so the ice cubes don't melt.

Then squeeze about 200 milliliters of orange juice from organic oranges, which you add to the espresso.

Decorate with ice cubes and enjoy the new summer drink!

According to blogger Jeffreyhh, the acidity in orange juice brings out the best in coffee flavor and underscores the bitter flavors in espresso.

Opinions differ on whether to pour the orange juice into the glass first or the coffee first.

Espresso with Orange Juice: Healthier than Latte Macchiato?

While latte macchiato or cappuccino contain lactose and a lot of fat, depending on how they are prepared and the milk used, the summer espresso scores with many vitamins.

It is best to use freshly squeezed orange juice so that you benefit from as much vitamin C as possible.

There is also potassium and folic acid in the juice.

The new summer drink also tastes good with lemon juice, but is more for less sensitive stomachs.
