reports, the new pension taxation could finally relieve taxpayers by up to 23,500 euros.
Based on sample calculations, it was found that those born in 1975 in particular will benefit from the new regulation.
And anyone who is currently considered an average earner with a gross salary of 3,250 euros can look forward to a tax advantage of around 12,500 euros.
Top earners, who are above the so-called contribution assessment limit for pension contributions (currently 7,050 euros in western Germany), the benefit is almost twice as high: they receive 23,522 euros.

The reason for the pension adjustment is a judgment by the Federal Fiscal Court.
He already called for a change in the pension tax formula in May last year.
Otherwise, the result would be double taxation of pensioners.
This must be prevented, which is why the traffic light coalition has reacted accordingly.
Since July 1, 2022, retirees have also received more money.
The federal cabinet has decided that the pension should be increased by between five and six percent.

In addition, the pensions will also be adjusted every year on July 1st depending on the wage development.
If wages fall, the applicable pension guarantee prevents this from happening with old-age benefits.
