(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JUL 19 - Accusing Irwin Winkler, the 93-year-old producer of the "Rocky" franchise, of being a "parasite" who defrauded him, Sylvester Stallone asks to finally receive what he owes.
In an Instagram post, Sly portrays Wrinkler as a snake with a knife-like tongue and asks if he can receive "at least a little of what is left of my rights before it goes only to your children".
This - added Stallone - would be "an act of justice on the part of this 93-year-old gentleman".
"It's a painful topic that eats my soul. I want to leave something 'Rocky' to my children", ildivo now wrote in the post on Instagram.
It is not from today that "Sly" expresses his frustration at how things went with the distribution of the proceeds from the series of films and the entire franchise that he himself contributed to originate: a sum equal to almost three billion dollars if we consider the six films in the series and the subsequent spin-offs "Creed".
The first "Rocky", released in 1976, collected 225 million dollars worldwide against an investment of just one million.
But in the pockets of the now 76-year-old Stallone only the crumbs ran out: he was paid 75 thousand dollars for writing the script and starring in the first Rocky, as well as adopting two nominations.
Nothing instead from the exploitation of the world he created himself, whose copyright belongs to Winkler.
