(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 21 - The activation of the 'Tpi' anti-spread shield in favor of a country will be based on four criteria: compliance with the budget criteria indicated by the EU, the absence of serious macroeconomic imbalances, sustainability of debt, the adoption of "solid and sustainable policies in compliance with the commitments made with recovery and with the specific recommendations of the European Commission".
This was stated by ECB President Christine Lagarder reiterating how the final decision will be taken by the Governing Council of the ECB.
