An 18-year-
old Spaniard
was denounced by the State Police for procuring alarm on an airliner (flight Vy1367) departing from
Fiumicino airport
for
Alicante
.
It happened last July 21 but the news was released today.
It all began when some of the 147 of the
flight received a
message in Amharic
on their smartphone devices .
containing generic death threats with attached images of skulls and macabre figures.
The flight commander thus decided to immediately suspend the departure of the aircraft pending the arrival of the Border Police at Fiumicino airport, alerted through the operations room.
It was discovered, shortly after, that the responsibility for the gesture, which led to a complaint for procured alarm, was of a young 18-year-old Spanish who, seen cornered, admitted that he had shared the message in question through the "airdrop" function. .
The flight then took off 2 hours late.
