It was enough to see the faces of the firefighters just a week ago, in the blaze of the fires of La Teste-de-Buch and Landiras, in Gironde, to understand that they were fighting against an elusive monster, whose flames have , at times, reaches a hundred meters high.
The looks were haggard, the bodies bruised by the effort and we rested at the edge of the road, on the grass, waiting for the relief.
