It basks in the scorching sun of the heat wave on its sandbank.
It is barely 8 a.m. on this sunny July morning and tourists strolling along the quays of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme (Somme) have quickly spotted the seal dozing on the opposite bank.
“He's a solo sailor who has been coming back to the same place regularly for two or three years.
He loves peace and nature, which is so beautiful here”, believes Jeanine, bubbly retired and in love with the Baie de Somme for more than seventy years!
