Next week, the Pancake Festival will be held at the port market in Tel Aviv, on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26-27, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
During the days of the festival, the southern market square will be dotted with colorful stalls of the best pastry shops and restaurants, each of which will be piled with plump, puffy and tender fritters - in a variety of flavors, styles and fillings.
From the decadent pancake cakes of 'Sprinkles' plump American pancakes, airy and full of surprising toppings from 'Nola', delicate French crepes thin and gluten-free from 'Breton', pancakes bursting with fresh berries from the farmer Uri Rabinovitch, kataif made by hand by a master chef Chef Farah Reslan, and even a 'Delicious' stand that will offer you a perfect bite of a juicy and high-quality hamburger patty that rests between two firm but tender pancake circles.
All these are just a part of the variety of participants that will be waiting for you during the two days of the festival.
So until Tuesday comes, Sprinkles Confectionery shared with us a particularly sweet recipe, for a pampering pancake cake, so the regular Saturday morning pancake was upgraded this time to a beautiful and happy cake.

Pancake cake with vanilla cream and colorful candies

Ingredients
For pancakes:
160 grams of white flour (a cup + 2 tablespoons)
5 grams of baking powder (half a bag)
2 tablespoons of white sugar
Pinch of salt
Egg L
50 grams of melted butter
240 ml per milk (cup)
teaspoon of vanilla extract
For the cream:
250 ml for milk (cup + spoon)
A box of sweet cream
A box of instant vanilla pudding
teaspoon of vanilla extract
For decoration:
Colored candies

Preparation
How do you make a pancake cake with vanilla cream and colored candies?

Prepare the pancake:
sift all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2 In a separate bowl, mix the egg, melted butter and milk.
3 Combine and mix the dry and wet ingredients until a smooth mass is obtained.
4 Heat a small non-stick pan (preferably 18-20 cm in diameter), when the pan is hot, pour the batter with a spatula. After bubbles form, carefully turn the pancake over and lightly fry the other side as well.
5Fry each pancake separately until you get an apple and golden pancake on both sides.
Set aside to cool.
(There should be about 3-4 pancakes).

Prepare the cream:
in the whipping bowl, put the milk, the sweet cream, the vanilla extract, and then add the instant vanilla pudding.
Mix a little with a spoon, then beat until stiff.
Place the mass in the refrigerator for an hour.
7 Assemble the cake: place the first pancake and sprinkle or spread a generous layer of cream on it (2-3 tablespoons per layer depending on the size of the pancake), and place the next pancake.
It is important to fasten each pancake on the layer of cream you need, but also take care to clean the leftover cream from the sides.
Repeat until the last layer, which receives a thin coating.
8 Sprinkle colored candies.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
