In a surprisingly short-term leak, John Cena was revealed as a skin for Fortnite.

The wrestling star is set to appear in the game later this week.

Cary, North Carolina – The big crossover never ends, Fortnite just assimilates more and more well-known brands and franchises into its battle royale mayhem.

Even the sporting world has put its stamp on the game with performances by the likes of Lebron James.

But wrestling of all things, with its theatrical confrontations and original personalities, has had no place in Fortnite so far.

That should change soon, because as reported by IPPEN.MEDIA ingame.de, one of the greatest wrestling stars of all time is coming into play.

How does John Cena come into play?

Apparently, John Cena should not only appear in Fortnite as an emote or NPC.

Rather, he should be available as a complete outfit in the game.

According to a leak, the WWE wrestler should come to the item shop in two different styles, one with a shirt and one without.

An emote with Cena's iconic "You Can't See Me" walk-in music, a championship belt back accessory, and a pickaxe shaped like a foam finger will also be added.

Most likely you can buy all items in a bundle again.

Where does the information come from?

One of the first Fortnite Insiders to post about John Cena's performance was once again the HYPEX Twitter account.

This has been fully committed to reporting on Fortnite for years and has built up an enormous reputation.

He or she provides more than two million followers with new information about Fortnite almost every day.

In the meantime, however, Epic Games itself has also confirmed that John Cena will appear as a skin in Fortnite, so you can look forward to the wrestler and don't have to worry that the information will turn out to be wrong in any way.

Best of all, the wait for John Cena's arrival won't even be long.

When does John Cena appear in Fortnite?

As Epic Games has indicated, John Cena will be coming to the Fortnite item shop on July 29th, 2022 at 02:00 GMT.

The update for the shop will happen in just a few days, after which you can secure the skin and the other items for your account.

Epic Games has not yet specified exactly how much John Cena will cost.

But it will easily not be as expensive as some of the top 10 rarest skins in Fortnite.

Have there been other wrestlers in Fortnite?

Recently, cartoons and anime have been Fortnite's big hobbies.

For example, it was recently confirmed again that Family Guy Skins should come to Fortnite.

But wrestling also has a place in battle royale, at least in one form or another.

Even before John Cena, a skin by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was supposed to come.

This skin never made it to release, but Johnson still lends his face to the Foundation outfit, which released in February 2022.
