A German woman of Afghan descent who had reached the Islamic State from Germany was sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
The Hamburg court recognized the 34-year-old
guilty of belonging to a foreign terrorist organization,
aiding and abetting genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity
.
The woman went to the ISIS territories in Syria eight years ago.
On the spot she had married in succession with several militiamen of the terrorist group.
With her last husband she too had severely mistreated and abused a Yazidi woman reduced to slavery.
The accused was arrested by Kurdish forces in 2017 and sent back to Germany four years later.
Also in Germany, last Tuesday the Duesseldorf court sentenced another woman who had reached the so-called Islamic State in 2015 to three and a half years in prison.
