The end of institutional testing: The Ministry of Health announced that starting today (Wednesday), home corona tests can be considered institutional testing.
The test will be performed during a recorded video call and its results will be received in the health system without the need to perform an additional test at the public stations.
Whoever chooses to be tested in this way at home, will contact the operator recognized by the Ministry of Health, will follow the test instructions, and the result will be reported by the company officially to the Ministry of Health and the health fund where the subject is insured.
The purpose of the move is to make it easier for the public and allow those who are interested to be tested in an easy way that will save them leaving the house and standing in line.
The Ministry of Health hopes that the move will especially help those who are in the risk groups and those who have difficulty getting around.

The first operator to be given permission to conduct the remote tests is MDA, but the Ministry of Health is expected to approve additional companies in the coming days. These days, companies with the relevant technology are presenting to the National Corona Authority their capabilities as well as their standards regarding the preservation of citizen privacy.
In accordance with this tender, some will receive permission to offer the tests to the general public.
In this way, the citizen will be able to choose through which company to perform the test, including considerations of the price demanded by the company (the test is at the expense of the testee).
Despite the lack of restrictions in recent months, the Ministry of Health once again calls on the public who are at risk due to age or long-term illnesses to be tested in an institutional test (PCR or antigen) and receive drugs that prevent hospitalization and serious illness.
