(ANSA) - ROME, JULY 31 - Italy that is aging and in crisis of demographics will also have to deal with the consequences on the labor market.
As stated in a research by the Fondazione di Vittorio della CGIL, "in twenty years the pool of potential workers will suffer a sharp decrease, -6.8 million people, while the population not of working age (under 15 and over 64) will register a robust growth, +3.8 million people ".
The demographic effect, the Foundation emphasizes, also affects the official employment rate which already measures, and will increasingly only partially measure, the actual employment trend.
