Agreement between the Democratic Party and Action- + Europe in view of the elections on 25 September.

The totality of the candidates in the single-member constituencies of the coalition will be divided between Democrats and Progressives and Action / + Europe to the extent of 70% (Democratic Party) and 30% (+ Europe / Action), deducting from the total of the constituencies those that will be attributed to the others electoral alliance lists.

This ratio will be applied to the different groups of colleges that will be identified by mutual agreement.

The parties undertake to request that the speaking time allotted to the coalition in television broadcasts be shared in the same percentages applied to the constituencies.

This can be read in the text of the agreement signed today

.

"A moment to announce that following a meeting with delegations of the two parties we have signed an agreement, which we believe is very important,

an electoral pact

, within a broader agreement with other components that we believe are fundamental to be successful against of the right ".

The secretary of the Democratic Party, Enrico Letta, said this at a press conference in the Chamber.

"It is not imaginable - the Dem leader attacked - that the country after Draghi will pass to the government of the right or led by Giorgia Meloni. After Draghi, Italy needs a government experience that carries out programs that have been very successful".

For the Democratic Party the meeting was also attended by the group leaders of the Chamber and Senate, Debora Serracchiani and Simona Malpezzi, and the coordinator of the secretariat, Marco Meloni.

For More Europe there are Benedetto Della Vedova and Riccardo Magi.

"We come with a constructive spirit, it is not difficult if there is the will", said the leader of Action entering Montecitorio.

Renzi?

"The doors are open to everyone and I have thought about it a lot

. It is quite clear that breaking up at this stage almost always pays off from the point of view of numbers, but there is no politics in terms of numbers. I don't think anyone has ever vetoed from the coalition point of view, "Action leader Carlo Calenda said at a press conference in the House.

"There will be a center, moderate, reformist, consistent with what we have always said at the next elections. It will be us".

The president of Italia Viva, Ettore Rosato, writes it on Twitter shortly after the agreement signed by the Democratic Party with Action and + Europe.

"The Letta-Calenda soap opera is finally over. Good luck to the new batch."

This is the hot comment on twitter by the M5s leader, Giuseppe Conte.

"The Letta-Calenda telenovela is finally over: good luck to the new crowd that goes from the Gelmini of cuts to the school to the Pd, passing through Calenda, which has never put his nose out of a Ztl. They recognize themselves in the" agenda Draghi ". LEGAL minimum wage, fight against pollution and youth precariousness will be off their agenda. No problem, we will deal with it."

"Action throws off the mask. It is the fifth column of the Democratic Party and of the left. Other than a project to create a new center, other than the Draghi government, simply at the service of those who want the assets for a few more places".

Antonio Tajani, National Coordinator of Forza Italia, writes on Twitter.
