The return of "Just like that" was not received as enthusiastically as many expected, but now there is something to look forward to for the second season of the series - John Corbett, forever remembered as the one who played Aidan Shaw, the ex-partner of the main character Carrie Bradshaw in the original series "Sex And the big city", will play the character again in the next season.
According to a report on the "Deadline" website, Aiden's character will not only appear sporadically in the series, but will have a significant role in several episodes in the next season.
The reason for this,

, is that already in the beginning episode of the show, Mr. Big, Bradshaw's husband, surprisingly died after having a heart attack during a gym workout.
It is likely that the actor who plays Big, Chris Noth, will not even return in flashbacks, after several women claimed against him last year that he sexually assaulted them.

As I remember, Aiden was very much loved by "Sex and the City" fans, and the fact that he didn't return to "Just like that" disappointed not many (and probably mostly many) of them.
The disappointment was even greater when last year Corbett hinted that he might participate in the series, which in the end turned out to be a teaser and nothing more.
After the end of the first season of "Just like that", one of its producers, Michael Patrick King, explained why such a beloved character as Aiden did not appear in the series at all: "It just felt like it was too much for Carrie, the death of Mr. Big. We wanted to see how she Dealing with his death. Aiden's return is a big story that all viewers wanted, but that's not how we planned it to happen."

Now, it will be interesting to see how they will deal with the past of Carrie and Aidan in the series: the two characters were in a relationship for quite a while, during which they even got engaged.
In the sixth season of "Sex and the City", the two ran into each other - then it turned out that Aiden is married and is the father of a small son.
They met one more time in the movie "Sex and the City 2", where the two even kissed, even though they were both married.
