New embarrassments and new excuses for the Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
The Scandinavian premier, fresh from the controversy over the wild dances, today apologized for a topless photo of two well-known influencers that she herself had invited to her official residence.
The BBC reports it.
Marin admitted that "the picture is not appropriate" and apologized.
In the image, spread on social media, two women are seen kissing while covering their breasts with a sign with the words "Finland".
According to Finnish media, the photo was taken in the bathrooms of the residence used by the guests.
"We took the sauna, swam and spent time together," said Marin.
"That kind of picture shouldn't have been taken, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary happened," she added.
The photos circulated on social media today were taken at a party that the Finnish premier had organized at her official residence, Kesaranta, in July, after the Ruisrock music festival.
The images appear to have been taken in the bathrooms on the ground floor of the residence, where there is also a room for media briefings, reports the Finnish news agency TT.
