(ANSA) - KIEV, AUG 26 - The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has been reconnected to the Ukrainian electricity grid.
This was announced by the national energy company, Energoatom.
"Today one of the reactors at the Zaporizhzhia power plant, which had been shut down yesterday, was connected to the electricity grid," Energoatom said on Telegram, adding that the security systems are functioning regularly.
The reconnection to the network took place at 2:04 pm local time (12 am Italian time).
Yesterday the power plant was isolated from the electricity grid due to fires caused by bombing of which Kiev and Moscasi are accused of each other.
The active reactors of the plant are two out of six.
