With a pointed nose that stretches out like Pinocchio or the child crouching inside him, his right index finger pointed like a gun to his temple and his brain as torturing as it is creative, the gamer's mocking eye, Gérard Garouste is the recurring character in his paintings.
The form twists there as with El Greco, the color is intense like those of the enamels, the composition swirls as with Tintoretto.
