Twitch streamer MontanaBlack paid a visit to Gamescom.

He probably didn't expect the big rush of fans himself.

Gamescom is one of the biggest gaming events ever.

After a two-year Corona break, numerous visitors frolic in the halls of Koelnmesse again in 2022.

Of course, the event also attracts well-known streamers - including many familiar faces from Twitch, YouTube and Co. This year, one in particular caused tumultuous scenes at Gamescom: MontanaBlack, one of Germany's most successful streamers.

On social media, some people have shared videos of crowds following "Monte" around the fair.

MontanaBlack at Gamescom: Streamer had to be accompanied by security

MontanaBlack has around 4.6 million followers on the streaming portal Twitch.

Many of his fans were also at Gamescom and the uproar was correspondingly great when "Monte" suddenly came by in person.

A Twitter user compared the scenes to a papal visit.

Here are some videos that have been shared around the web:

The same scene from a different perspective shows the effort that Koelnmesse security had to put into escorting the Internet star safely across the site:

Another video shows that states of emergency also prevailed inside the exhibition building because of MontanaBlack.

Hundreds of fans loudly cheered the streamer:

MontanaBlack: "I've never seen anything like it"

It is clear that streamers are recognized every now and then in everyday life.

But that such crowds mobilize for you, that was also new for "Monte".

On his official Twitter channel he writes: "We have taken over #gamescom2022.

Haven't experienced anything like that before.” And he's happy that for once he doesn't end up in the Twitter trends because of a shitstorm.
