The storm caused by JK Rowling around her views on the transsexual community does not subside, and is even rekindled - thanks to her new book that was released yesterday (Tuesday) and which deals with the creator of a popular animated series on YouTube who is accused of racism, discrimination - and transphobia.
Rowling wrote "The Ink Black Heart" under her pen name, Robert Galbraith.
This is the sixth volume in the series of suspense books "Cormoran Strike", intended for mature readers and very different from the "Harry Potter" books, thanks to which Rowling became famous.
The description of the new book states that "Edie Ladwell is being hunted online by a mysterious character known as Anomie, who is determined to reveal the character's true identity."
Needless to say, many see a direct connection between the plot of the book and the private life of Rowling, until recently one of the world's favorite authors, who spoke out against transgender people in recent years (as I recall, she previously claimed that those who do not menstruate, i.e. transsexual people, cannot be a woman) .
Despite the sharp criticism, the 57-year-old creator insists on fortifying her positions, refuses to apologize and receives a lot of criticism that causes a lot of damage to her career.
Is the author actually using the book to warn that she might take her own life?

Despite the obvious similarities, Rowling clarified in an interview she gave to moderator Graham Norton that most of the book was written based on her personal affair exploding, and therefore it was only a coincidence.
"I told my husband that I thought everyone would see the book as a reaction to everything that happened to me, but that's not the case. The first draft was completed before certain things even happened," she said.
Also, on the Q&A page on the book's official website, "Robert Galbraith" claimed that the book was not inspired by his real life, "but because I've been planning this book for so long, some things that happen in it happened to me too. People who read the draft asked if I can predict the future. So no, I don't predict fortunes, it's just a weird twist. Sometimes life imitates art more than I'd like."
