(ANSA) - BERLIN, 01 SEPT - Completely renouncing Russian gas "is not something we would do, I don't think we would be very responsible".
German Chancellor OlafScholz said this, as reported by Dpa.
Scholz, however, added that Germany is prepared in case Moscow instead of turning off the taps.
"Even if things are very tight, we will probably still be able to make it through the winter," said Scholz.
An active renunciation of Russian gas would, however, be useless at the moment.
The Chancellor then returned to the various German alternative energy projects: the new LNG terminals, but also the collaboration with countries such as Spain, Portugal and France.
