No suspects identified

According to German information, the police have not yet identified a suspect and have launched an appeal for witnesses.

Some of them described the assailant as between 18 and 20 years old, wearing wide jeans and a bucket hat, a police spokesman said.

The Lesbian and Gay Federation of Germany, the country's largest LGBTQ+ rights organization, said in a statement: "The Münster police and police state security must quickly clarify this act of transphobic violence and classify it for what it is: a politically motivated crime.
