It is a first full week since the start of the school year which promises to be complicated within schools, for teachers and students alike.
At the call of the CGT, Force Ouvrière and Unsa unions, the Atsem (Specialized Territorial Agent for Nursery Schools) are invited to strike on Monday.

The Atsem are demanding “a salary increase and a thaw of the index point by at least 10%, to cope with inflation and compensate for the multiplication of their tasks”.
In a press release released on Friday, the CGT explains that it is in favor of this strike “because they and they are poorly paid, with no prospects for career development and faced with a perpetual deterioration of their working conditions.
The agents would be paid between 1,300 and 1,800 euros per month, on average.
The CGT asks concretely, in its demands, “a salary increase of 183 euros net per month, a minimum Atsem per class over all school time or the repeal of the law of Transformation of the Public Service”.
Have the same increase as childcare assistants
Financial aid that the Atsem are demanding to follow the increases in treatment that nurses' aides and childcare auxiliaries have experienced.
As well as “a precise recognition of the arduousness of their profession”, specifies the press release from the CGT Federation.

These agents, previously called “service women”, help to ensure the smooth running of the classes for the youngest, in kindergarten.
In particular, they come to the aid of the mistresses to supervise the children, accompany them in their learning or even during mealtimes in the canteen, at the reception desk in the morning or at the daycare center at the end of the day.
Not to mention the maintenance and preparation of teaching materials.
According to France Bleu Azur, half of the school canteens of nursery schools will be closed this Monday in Nice because of this strike.
Other social movements could intervene by the end of the month.
