(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 06 - It is very likely that Europe will not be able to do without Moscow gas "at least until 2027": this was stated by the Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov, interviewed by the Tass agency on the occasion of 'Eastern Economic Forum.
"Europe cannot rely on anyone except the United States, which is increasing the production of liquefied natural gas," explains Shulginov.
"I think the coming winter will show how real or not their confidence is in the possibility of rejecting Russian gas. Doing so will lead to the stoppage of their industry and their gas-based power generation. It will be a totally new life for Europeans: absolutely unsustainable for them." , adds the Russian Energy Minister.
