Amazon has announced the temporary closure of all solar panels on the rooftops of its fulfillment centers and other U.S. facilities after a series of small fires.

"Following a small number of isolated incidents caused by solar systems owned and operated by third parties, Amazon has decided to shut them down and has taken immediate steps to inspect each installation," an Amazon spokesperson told Fox Business last night.
According to internal documents obtained by CNBC, there are six sites in the United States with solar panels where fires have occurred, 12.7% of all structures.
One such fire broke out in an Amazon warehouse in Perryville, Maryland in June 2021 and caused $ 500,000 in damage.
