(ANSA) - NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 09 - Casper Ruud reached the final of the US Open and finished in first place in the world classification by beating Karen Khachanov.
Ruud defeated the Russian 7-6 (7/5), 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 in the semifinal and will face the winning between the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz and the American Frances Tiafoe on Sunday.
It will be Ruud's second Grand Slam final after finishing second behind Rafael Nadal at the French Open in June.
