This Saturday, September 10, Charles III, proclaimed King of the United Kingdom on the death of his mother Elizabeth II, pledged allegiance to Parliament during his proclamation, surrounded by Prince William, Camilla and Prime Minister Liz Truss.
During this time, part of the members of the royal family went to Scotland to meditate in front of the gates of Balmoral Castle, where the queen died.

We saw Princess Anne, the Queen's only daughter, accompanied by her husband Timothy Laurence;
the face filled with tears when arriving on the spot.
She was followed by her brother, Prince Andrew and her two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie of York.
Visibly very moved, the latter placed flowers, among the hundreds of bouquets strewn in front of the gates of the residence.
Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and his wife Sophie, were also accompanied by their daughter, and the Queen's granddaughter, Louise Mountbatten-Windsor.

For his part, King Charles III recalled his commitment to the nation during his second public speech as sovereign.
“My mother gave an example of service.
My mother's reign was unequaled in its duration and devotion (...) I am aware of this heritage and of the duties of responsibility and sovereignty which are now transmitted to me.
