We usually prefer our meds with a prescription and an expiration date, but so many people swear that honey helps them when they have a cold, that we decided to check out what the science says about it

Honey has a special status in Israeli cuisine, as a kind of superfood that helps with a host of annoying phenomena.
Although it is made mostly of sugar and has no real nutritional value, many are convinced that a cup of tea with honey will relieve a sore throat or soothe an annoying cough.
