La Française des jeux says that this “little” winner had until today always used to play the same numbers, namely the dates of birth of his relatives.
But when he played this EuroMillions draw, recorded in the press lotto of a supermarket in Guipavas, this man made a mistake in his wife's date of birth.
He justifies his mistake by having forgotten his glasses.
To a jackpot number
The error allowed this man, whose identity we do not know, to have the five correct numbers in the draw, as well as a lucky star.
He is one of six players in Europe – and no other in France – to win these almost 200,000 euros.
Our Breton winner only needed one number (in this case a lucky star) to win the jackpot of 127 million euros.
This “funny” story is reminiscent of another, equally recent one.
