While the coffin of the late British Queen Elizabeth II was being driven through Edinburgh on Monday afternoon, an incident occurred along the route: A young man called out to Prince Andrew, the Queen's son, in English: "Andrew, you are a sick person , old man!” This is shown by videos taken by bystanders.
The funeral procession can be seen in it, the crowd is silent.
When King Charles III, his sister Princess Anne, and his brothers Prince Edward and Prince Andrew pass the young man behind the Queen's coffin, he insults Andrew.
Then some in the crowd spontaneously chanted »God save the King!«.
A second video shows the man being pulled down by another participant and then taken away by the police.
The young man doesn't fight back.
Scottish journalist Joseph Anderson then published a video showing the young man sitting in front of two police officers.
According to him, the man's name is Rory and he is 22 years old.
In the video, the young man says: "Men of power should not commit sexualised crimes and be allowed to get away with them." Scottish police later said the 22-year-old had been arrested and charged with disturbing the public order.
Prince Andrew has been implicated in the abuse scandal surrounding billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
A woman had accused Andrew of sexually abusing her on multiple occasions between 2000 and 2001.
At that time she was 17 years old, Prince Andrew was 40. The woman is said to have "brokered" Jeffrey Epstein to Andrew.
The woman had sued Andrew, but subsequently settled with him out of court - Andrew paid a "substantial" sum to a victims' rights charity founded by the alleged abuse victim.
In return, she dropped the lawsuit and the case never went to trial.
