The mistake happened on Sunday with eighth grade students at the "Green Village" school in Ramat Hasharon.
Nine of the students were vaccinated by the nurse by mistake with the triple diphtheria, pertussis and polio vaccine - instead of the papilloma vaccine intended for them.
As a result, the parents received a message that their children will be vaccinated in about a month with the vaccine intended for them against papilloma.

In the message the parents received today from the CEO of "The Green Village", Aryeh Kogan, he wrote to them that "I decided that it would be right to inform you about serious negligence, although it does not concern all the students, and is not under the authority of the management at the time of the school" and noted that "the regional director of Femi Health Services, the franchisee of the Ministry of Health for vaccinations in schools, told us last night in a telephone conversation that nine students from the 8th grade mistakenly received a dose of diphtheria-pertussis-polio vaccine, instead of the papilloma vaccine that was intended for them, and it was reported that a comprehensive investigation was done at the Ministry of Health and no students were involved More.'
According to the information provided to us, there is no danger in receiving the given vaccine, and at the same time it is serious negligence.
We were amazed and demanded that they make immediate contact with the parents and that an epidemiologist and a specialist doctor be made available to them.'
It was also written to the parents that "it is important to emphasize that the school is subject to the directives of the Ministry of Health and Education and according to their directives it is obliged to host the company 'Pemi Health Services', and we have no part in the way the vaccinations are administered.
Our feelings are difficult in light of what happened, the students are ours, surely a significant crisis of trust has been created with those in charge and in the coming days there will be a clarification conversation with the management of 'Femi Health Services' in cooperation with the village management."
The company "Femi" stated in response that "During a routine check conducted by Femi at the end of vaccination day in middle school, it was found that one of the children had been vaccinated with an excess dose of the child diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus vaccine, instead of the HPV vaccine component, as a result of human error."
As soon as the incident became known, the Femi company reported in accordance with the procedures to the Ministry of Health, the report included the details of the incident and the initial investigation.
A report was also given to the management of the middle school, the Ministry of Health passed on its professional instructions to continue giving the vaccines to the students and a requirement to complete the full investigation that will be carried out by us in the coming days.
