Burning Feet Syndrome may be present if there is constant pain, burning and tingling in the feet.

If feet feel uncomfortably warm or hot and tingle, this can indicate burning feet syndrome.
What are the reasons behind it.
Frankfurt – Many people know the symptoms: You lie in bed at night and your feet hurt or tingle.
This is what is known as burning feet syndrome – also known as burning feet syndrome, Gopalan syndrome, Grierson-Gopalan syndrome, or “hot old feet” – which, in severe cases, robs those affected of sleep.
One of the possible causes of the health problem is diabetes mellitus.
However, there are many other diseases or injuries that can cause burning feet syndrome.
In most cases, however, there is damage to a nerve or several nerves that supply the foot, for example due to diabetes, inflammation or a pinched nerve.
Burning Feet Syndrome: Symptoms don't have to be a cause for concern
Physicians refer to various complaints on the feet as burning feet syndrome, such as tingling, stinging, burning and "pins and needles".
But also heat and numbness and increased pain can occur.
In many cases, the burning pain occurs mainly at night or worsens, or when lying down.
According to the medical online encyclopedia Deximed (German Expert Information Medicine), burning or tingling does not have to be a cause for concern at first, but often represents a harmless abnormal sensation due to external influences.
The symptoms can be triggered by simple skin irritations or circulatory fluctuations.
However, the syndrome can also be a sign of a serious illness.
These causes can trigger burning feet syndrome
diabetes mellitus
Polyneuropathy – A disease of the nerves that supply the toes, feet, and lower legs
Tight shoes combined with overloading of the feet
Narrowed blood vessels in the legs (arterial disease)
Plantar fasciitis - an inflammation of the tendon plate on the sole of the foot
athlete's foot
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome - The shin nerve gets pinched at a narrowing point called the tarsal tunnel
A complex, regional pain syndrome
Erythromelalgia - An inherited disorder that causes disruption in nerve and vascular function
HIV
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
sarcoidosis
An underactive thyroid
vitamin deficiency

Burning Feet Syndrome: This helps with burning feet
If you have the symptoms of burning feet syndrome, there are a number of measures that those affected can take themselves, according to the medical encyclopedia Deximed, to relieve the symptoms: blood sugar control and weight control in diabetes, or by losing weight, or a Cooling of the feet in the water and their elevation.
