(ANSA) - BARBARA, 17 SEPTEMBER - The search for people still missing after bad weather and floods that caused ten victims and considerable damage in the evening of last Thursday.

Firefighters, mountain rescue and civil protection are in action.

In Serra de 'Conti a 47-year-old from Arcevia (Ancona) is looking for whose car, an Opel Corsa, had already been found inside the Misa river after being swallowed by water: there has been no news of the man since that evening.


    In the Barbara area, rescuers look for the child Mattia Luconi, 8 years old, swallowed by Nevola while he was with his mother on the road that connects Ripalta (Arcevia) and Corinaldese;

they had gotten out of the car, overwhelmed by the wave of the river, but mother Silvia Mereu, a pharmacist, then recovered and taken to hospital, had not been able to hold back her son by the force of the water.

In the same area, we are looking for Brunella Chiùche together with her 23-year-old son Simone Bartolucci and her daughter Noemi Bartolucci, 17, who had been dragged away by the Nevol while trying to leave the house by car: Simone saved himself by clinging to a plant for over two hours while the 17-year-old passed away. and the body has already been recovered.


    During the night, the firefighters continued to search incessantly thanks also to photoelectrics, generators and using technical maps to avoid overlapping and make searches more efficient.

In action the Saf teams (Speleo alpine river) and the divers to search the waterways but also the banks of the rivers on which branches and trunks of trees have piled up.

In the area the sky is currently clear, the sun is shining even though some clouds are gathering on the horizon;

many lands are still flooded and many crops submerged by the water that has dragged debris and waste into it.
