Accompanied by her children, George and Charlotte, Prince William's wife paid a last tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday September 8 at the age of 96.
For this funeral scrutinized by the whole world, Kate Middleton has, as usual, redoubled elegance.
Dressed entirely in black as tradition dictates, the new Princess of Wales opted for an elegant black ensemble and heeled pumps.
All this, combined with a black hat with a veil.

A symbolic adornment
Kate Middleton also wears two symbolic jewels: one borrowed from Elizabeth II, the other from Lady Diana.
The one belonging to the Queen is a four-row “Japanese” necklace.
Composed - as its name suggests - of four rows of pearls linked by a diamond clasp, this necklace was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth II herself from the jeweler Garrard, who made it from cultured pearls that had been offered to the monarch by the Japanese government.
After wearing it often during the 1980s and 1990s, the Queen of England occasionally entrusted this precious necklace to members of the Windsor clan.
Among which Lady Di (during a State banquet in the Netherlands in 1982), and more recently, Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales was thus photographed with in 2017, on the occasion of the 70 years of marriage of the Queen and Prince Philip, but also in 2021 during the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh.
For the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, Kate Middleton also wore a pair of diamond and pearl earrings which this time belonged to Princess Diana.
