2022-09-19T15:50:05.243Z

This year, FEMSA and the Tecnológico de Monterrey recognize the effort and humanistic sense of talents concerned about social transformation from different areas of expertise

The evolution of businesses and corporate leadership around them during the last three decades in Mexico, points to challenges, uncertainty and complexities as a permanent variable, which no longer depends on cycles, seasons or the quality of a product or service.

To speak of leadership today is to go beyond a productive, effective and differentiated strategy, but above all to recognize and integrate the value of human talent with a humanistic, innovative and highly transformative approach.

For Mexican companies like FEMSA, this aspect not only governs and drives the proper functioning of a leading business, but it is also vital to recognize and team up with the most outstanding talent in society, especially in key areas such as education, technology and entrepreneurship.

This 2022, as is already a tradition and tribute in equal parts for 29 years, FEMSA and the Tecnológico de Monterrey recognize the most outstanding talent in the country, through the Eugenio Garza Sada Award, which in addition to being an important incentive for entrepreneurship, innovation and educational projects with a humanistic and social sense, also embodies a tribute to the life and work of Eugenio Garza Sada, founder of the educational institution, philanthropist and active promoter of change and development in his community.

Within the framework of this recognition of the work of social transformation of projects, ideas and initiatives with a high sense of human leadership that also provide solutions to problems relevant to society through actions that raise the standard of living and well-being of Mexican communities.

“We have a short view of the future, but a long view of the past, which on many occasions becomes the main reference for our actions.

It is very important to talk about the historical experience, but this should not be an obstacle for a society and a country to plan their future together and build it”, said José Antonio Fernández Carbajal during the award ceremony, adding that this award also serves to bring to the fore valuable lessons and inspiration that we should all follow, in order to generate a social awareness of the Mexico in which we all live and want to live.
