The police in Munich are investigating an alleged rape at the Oktoberfest.
On Tuesday evening, an unknown person followed a 27-year-old woman into the toilet stall in a marquee and "performed sexual acts on her against her will," the police said, citing the woman's descriptions.
The woman fought back and hit the man in the face, after which he fled.
You reported the act a day later at the "Wiesnwache".
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the course of the crime or the perpetrator.
He is said to be around 170 cm tall, 40 years old and of strong build.
He also has short hair and a three-day beard.
It is the first registered rape at the Munich Oktoberfest this year, said a police spokesman according to the "Süddeutsche Zeitung".
However, that does not mean that this is the first attack: the "Safe Wiesn for girls* and women*" campaign reported in an interim report that at least 21 visitors to the Oktoberfest experienced sexual or physical violence in the first week of the Oktoberfest had experienced at the festival site.
The police registered 31 reported sex offenses at the time.
