The beloved trio returns to business with a new album and a world tour • This is the first time the band will perform with its current, best-known line-up since 2015

They are coming back:

the American rock band Blink-182 announced today (Tuesday) the comeback of the three members who brought it to its commercial peak, and this will be accompanied by a world tour - and a new album, the first song of which will be released this Friday.

Although this is not the first time that the trio has returned to business, this reunion is exciting as any comeback of the group is welcome.

The band was formed in 1992 by bassist and singer Mark Hoppus, guitarist and singer Tom DeLonge and drummer Scott Raynor, but it was disbanded in 1998.

A year later, Travis Barker, who is now known as Kourtney Kardashian's husband, joined the band - and since then it has flourished.

In this lineup, the band released three successful albums that included several big hits, including "What's My Age Again?"

and "All The Small Things".

The band took a hiatus in 2005, during which time DeLonge formed a side band, Angels & Airwaves, which enjoyed considerable success in the US, and Barker became one of the most sought-after drummers in the music industry, working with the likes of Post Malone and Machine Gun Kelly. After he was injured In a plane crash in 2009, the band reunited for a new tour, and two years later released another album. In 2015, DeLonge left the band without prior notice to his friends. Matt Skiba replaced him and recorded two albums with the band.

Hoppus revealed last year that he had cancer - and even published a few months later a happy message in which he announced that he had recovered from it.

The band's new song, "Edging", will be the first single from the new album that the trio recorded.

Its concert tour is expected to begin in March 2023, and as of this writing - the band is not expected to perform in Israel.
