The whole NBA gathers around Dikembe Mutombo.
The American basketball legend has a brain tumor and is being treated in his hometown, Atlanta: the same league announced it with an official note in which he explains that the champion, one of the greatest blockers in basketball history, "is receiving the best possible care from a team of specialists and is responding very well. "
"Dikembe and his family ask for respect for privacy during this period so that they can concentrate on his care and are grateful for your prayers and good wishes," writes the NBA again.
Mutombo, 56, played for 18 seasons in the NBA, four times named best defender of the year.
Since 2015 he has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
