Instead of wet and cold October weather, there are again high temperatures in parts of Germany at the start of the week.
While rain and thunderstorms are possible in the north and northwest with an overcast sky, it will be warmer on Monday towards the south, said the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach on Sunday.
In the north and northwest, the maximum values are between 17 and 21 degrees, otherwise it is exceptionally warm with temperatures between 21 and 27 degrees.
Tuesday will initially bring rain in the center and east-central, moving east as the day progresses.
In the south it was partly cloudy after the fog had cleared and it could rain and thunderstorms from the afternoon.
In the south, the temperatures outside the foggy areas climb to 19 to 23 degrees, otherwise the values are according to the meteorologists at 15 to 19 degrees.
Wednesday will then initially bring partly tough fog and high fog fields.
In the afternoon it becomes friendly in some areas.
This time it will remain sunny for longer, especially in the north and north-east.
The temperatures are between 12 and 16 degrees in the north-east and between 15 and 20 degrees in the south-west.
According to the DWD, October has been the fifth warmest month in Germany since 1881. The mean area across Germany has so far been 11.6 degrees.
With an average temperature of 12.5 degrees, October 2001 was the warmest so far, while October 1905 was the coldest at 4.5 degrees.
