Expected for 2023, these ten new episodes of the dramatic comedy again announce strong tensions within the Roy clan.

Tension is mounting at Waystar Royco.

American broadcaster HBO, which celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year, has released the first images from the fourth season of

Succession

, the Emmy Award-winning drama created by Jesse Armstrong.

This American comedy-drama centers on the wealthy Roy family, owners of the global media and entertainment conglomerate Waystar Royco.

The battle to take control of this multinational intensifies after the season 3 finale, and the uncertainty surrounding the health of patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox).

If the details of the plot of this fourth season still remain secret, the first images show an enthusiastic Logan Roy, seeming in full possession of his faculties.

He gives a catchy speech to his teams: "It's not the end," he said to a round of applause.

We kill the opposition!

I'm going to build something better, faster, lighter, wilder.

I really like it here.

Damn I love it here!”

In this shot, the boss is surrounded by his son-in-law Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and his nephew Greg (Nicholas Braun), his three children not appearing alongside him.

The first three seasons of the series are currently streaming on HBO Max and Binge.

Season 4 will be broadcast in 2023 and it could be a final step before the end of the show.

Writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett had revealed to The Times in 2021 that she indeed believed the “maximum would be five seasons” for the series.

This teaser is released as part of HBO's fiftieth anniversary.

The broadcaster also presented other upcoming series, including

SHAQ

, a four-part documentary about former American professional basketball player Shaquille O'Neal,

The Idol

, a drama series starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd, and

Love and Death

, limited crime drama starring Elizabeth Olsen.
