This prelude to the epistolary classic by Choderlos de Laclos focuses on the early years and the meeting of two devilish literary lovers, the Marquise de Merteuil (played by Alice Englert) and the Viscount de Valmont (Nicholas Denton).
The plot takes place in 18th century Paris, where the protagonists oscillate between shenanigans and charm to rise to the top of the French aristocracy.
The broadcaster promises "wonder and terror, beauty and degradation, seduction and deception".

Lesley Manville, Kosar Ali, Carice Van Houten and Hilton Pelser complete the cast of this series in eight chapters which will be scheduled from November 6 on the Lionsgate+ platform, formerly known as Starzplay.
The broadcast will be one episode per week, ending on December 26.
