Elisabeth Borne presented on Friday 22 projects relating to ecological planning to lead a "fairer" transition but "

She did not present any new action, but 22 ecological projects to build a “greener” France.

"There is unfortunately no miracle solution to the ecological transition and yet many continue to demand it and choose totems rather than structural changes," said Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne this Friday at La Recyclerie (18th arrondissement of Paris).

My conviction is that we must act, at the same time, and on all fronts”.

These 22 projects, ranging from the renovation of housing to the decarbonization of industries, revolve around six themes of daily life: getting around, housing, eating, producing, consuming and preserving our ecosystems (soils, forests, water, oceans).

They will be broken down into “action plans” under the “France green nation” banner.

The government keeps in mind the aborted carbon tax project after the Yellow Vests crisis: Élisabeth Borne defended a "greener" but also "fairer" France, a condition for the ecological transition to be "accepted, effective and unifying" .

"It is obviously not up to our compatriots in fuel poverty to make additional efforts," she said.

“Conversely, those who emit the most and who have the most means must also be those who support our ecological transition the most”, by “showing the example” and investing “to finance innovation”.

No “stigma” about certain ways of living

A "first consolidated version" of this planning will be established "at the end of the year", "incorporating new actions" and "appointment clauses", specified the Prime Minister.

Indicators and dashboards will be put online to see show "what is progressing", but also "the difficulties encountered", according to Matignon.

The League for the Protection of Birds refused to participate in this CNR (National Council for the Refoundation of Climate and Biodiversity), citing recent decisions by the State "against nature and biodiversity" but does not exclude come back to it.

The France Nature Environnement association has promised “demanding participation”.

Would Elisabeth Borne be ready to tell the French that they should eat less meat or fly less?

Questioned by Liberation on this subject, the Prime Minister replied that she did not want to "stigmatize people on their way of life", preferring "to make people want something else".
