(ANSA) - MILAN, OCTOBER 21 - As often happens with WhatsApp, the Wabetainfo site has got its hands on a new experimental version of the messaging app, which reveals the news coming in the coming months.

Among these the avatars.

As already announced by Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta who controls Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, the idea of the group is to unify the experience of its apps in view of the launch of the metaverse.

To do this, using a unique avatar for all platforms is essential.

As Wabetainfo writes: "Thanks to avatars, you can customize your identity by setting a digital expression within the WhatsApp settings. With the update to Android beta version 2.22.23.9, some lucky beta testers are finally able to create an avatar" .

The chat client, after creating your avatar, automatically generates a pack of stickers to use as stickers with friends and family.

Additionally, you can choose an avatar to use as your profile photo.

The "avatar" item will appear in the WhatsApp settings menu, indicating the availability of the personalization service.

Another novelty concerns the automatic deactivation of the most numerous group chats, which always generate many notifications for users' smartphones.

As identified in version 2.22.23.9 for Android, the application, without any manual intervention, automatically silences groups with a high number of participants, still allowing to restore notifications at the discretion of each subscriber.

Last June,

WhatsApp had extended the limit of groups up to 512 participants taking it, two weeks ago, to 1024 even if only in test mode, for some users.
