(ANSA) - BUSSI SUL TIRINO, OCTOBER 21 - Fear and confusion in a childhood school in Bussi sul Tirino (Pescara) where this morning a family of four wild boars broke into the structure, after having broken through the garden fence first and then the glass of the front door.
In a few moments, the largest boar entered a classroom where about fifteen children were teaching.
In the general panic, with the children jumping on the benches and screaming, a teacher stepped between them and the animal, lightly injuring her side after hitting a closet.
Ilfrastuono drew the attention of the school cook who, together with the teacher, quickly let the children out of the classroom, while the visibly frightened boar continued to turn, overwhelming desks and chairs,
then he opened a security door through which the animal was able to return to the open air, and then went away with the rest of the family, including two puppies.
Fortunately, no children were injured, despite the stampede.
The Carabinieri Forestali, the Fire Brigade and the mayor Salvatore Lagatta intervened on the spot, shortly after the parents arrived, rushed to bring the children home after having calmed down.
The school is in direct contact with a forest close to the mountain, in a peripheral area of the country in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
