The use of a credit card to watch porn online could act as a "filter" to guarantee the prohibition of access to pornography for minors, promoted the Secretary of State for Children Charlotte Caubel before the National Assembly, this Tuesday.
“We are going to make things happen quite seriously”, she assured the Delegation for the Rights of the Child.
She notably mentioned the use of a credit card as a “filter”, “for zero or one euro”, in order to allow access to pornographic sites.
This “would already be a filter.
We are opposed that it would not be a perfect filter, but already if we can protect 30 or 40% (of minors), let's be pragmatic.
My child, when he uses his credit card, I have an alert, I'll see if it's on Youporn or on McDonald's, ”said Charlotte Caubel.
“We are the fourth largest producer of child pornography images.

“, she asked herself, not hiding her “anger”.
“Let’s stop taking tweezers;

And this contributes to not breaking the chain of sexual violence that we continue to feed,” she said.

“We have an opposition today between the freedom to go to adult porn sites and the trauma created for our children.

"We have an industry and operators who consider the protection of adult data, the freedom of adults to be the Holy Grail", she said, assuring "losing patience" as legislation prohibiting the exposure of minors to pornography is not applied.
According to a Senate report on porn released last month, 36% of boys were exposed to pornographic images before the age of 13.
A third of boys under 15 visit a porn site every month.
