The first Meta-Facebook viewer designed for the metaverse arrives in Italy.
Presented by Mark Zuckerberg on 11 October during the Connect event, it includes, in addition to the headset, also the Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers, stylus tips, partial light blocking and charging dock.
Deliveries, according to the Meta site, are almost immediate.
The first uses of the Quest Pro viewer, developed together with the subsidiary Oculus, concern work and entertainment applications, as per the idea behind the metaverse, the new era of the internet based on virtual and augmented reality platforms and a mix of the two, to which access right with viewers and goggles.
Meta is the first company to have focused heavily on the nascent metaverse market, even if other big techs, from Google to Microsoft,
they are following closely with their projects still in the laboratory.
Meta Quest Pro features high-resolution sensors that enable color mixed reality experiences, next-generation lenses, advanced LCD displays for crisp images, and a design that, according to Meta, allows the headset to be worn for hours. without hassle.
As you use it, an internal camera system tracks the eyes and facial expressions that are reproduced on the avatar in supported applications.
"Thanks to its innovative hardware features, Meta Quest Pro allows a wide range of new virtual reality and mixed reality experiences" explains the Meta team on the occasion of the arrival of the gadget in Italy.
