Andreas Seppi ended his career in Val Gardena after over twenty years in the ATP circuit.
The 38-year-old South Tyrolean was one of the pillars of Italian tennis, reaching 18 / o place in the world ranking, playing 67 slam tournaments and winning three tournaments.
Last night in Ortisei he played his last match losing in the first round of the Sparkasse Challenger Val Gardena Südtirol after two hours of battle against Yannick Hanfmann.

"They were certainly fantastic years. I never thought I could play at these levels until I was 38. An important chapter in my life ends, but another even more beautiful one begins with my family," said Seppi after the game.
