Several brands (Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga) have decided to end their juicy collaboration with Kanye West after character remarks

Brands are turning away from Kanye West.

The American rapper, under fire from critics after his anti-Semitic remarks, sees his partnerships collapsing.

The latest?

The Adidas brand announced on Tuesday that it would "immediately" end its collaboration with the man who is now nicknamed "Ye".

The artist reacted on his Instagram account, sharing a screenshot of a note in which he speaks to Ari Emanuel, an American celebrity agent, head of Endeavor Talent Agency, who had called more early all companies to cease their collaboration with the rapper.

“Ari Emanuel, I lost $2 billion in one day and I'm still alive.

This is a speech of love.

I love you forever.

God still loves you.

Money is not who I am.

People are who I am,” he wrote.

The celebrity agent had judged in an editorial in the Financial Times

that "those who continue to do business with West are giving an audience to his misplaced hatred".

“There should be no tolerance (…) for West's anti-Semitism,” he said, calling on Apple, Spotify and Adidas to cut ties with the artist.

The rapper was suspended from Twitter after tweeting that he was going to attack Jews in a post that the social network has since deleted for breaking its rules.

Kanye West, already banned from Instagram

A few days before, Kanye West had shocked his fans by wearing a t-shirt crossed out with the words "White Lives Matter" during a fashion show in Paris.

This slogan, used by the American far right, hijacks the name of the “Black Lives Matter” movement, which campaigns against racism against African-Americans.

The CAA agency which represents him, one of the most important in Hollywood, ended their collaboration on Monday while the production company MRC canceled a documentary that had already been completed on the rapper.

The American ready-to-wear chain Gap has for its part announced that it will withdraw from its stores all the products resulting from its collaboration with Kanye West and close the dedicated website.

Fashion house Balenciaga also broke up with the rapper last week.

Kanye West, who says he suffers from bipolar disorder, was previously banned from posting on Instagram for 24 hours in March, amid his acrimonious divorce from American star Kim Kardashian.
