On the Champs-Élysées, emblematic place of the Parisian end-of-year enchantment, "it will be between 50 or 60 euros per day of electricity consumption for the 4 km of illuminations, the 2,000 light points of each tree being the equivalent of a filament bulb of yesteryear", summarizes Johan Hugues, co-managing director of Blachère Illumination, European leader in the sector based in the Vaucluse.

On November 20, the company will “light up” the decorations of what is often considered “the most beautiful avenue in the world”.

They will be extinguished every evening at 11:45 p.m., 2:15 a.m. earlier than in previous years, and these illuminations will take place over six weeks compared to seven previously.

This year, the godfather of the illuminations will be actor Tahar Rahim.

Known for his role in the film "A Prophet" by Jacques Audiard, the actor was chosen to be "a prophet for the Champs-Élysées, a French actor for a universal avenue, a generational hero to carry the image of an eternal avenue” according to the Champs-Élysées committee.
