The attack on a vigil in front of the Iranian embassy in Berlin lasted only a few minutes, according to the police.
The evaluation of the logs of the operations control center from the night of Sunday showed that the employee of the central object protection deployed in front of the Iranian embassy noticed the incident at 1.15 a.m. and requested support at 1.16 a.m., as a police spokeswoman said.
The first two emergency vehicles arrived three minutes later.
The perpetrators were already gone.
Two minutes later, at 1:21 a.m., three more cars arrived, police said.
Officials searched the area without success.
The police state protection of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is investigating the case because of a possible political background.
According to the investigations so far, three men are said to have torn banners and flags from a caravan that is being used as a vigil.
According to the police, the suspects then tried to open the door of the trailer in which four men were.
Then a verbal argument and a scuffle should have developed, according to the police, three men were injured.

Hundreds of people had previously shown solidarity with the protests in Iran at a demonstration in the city.
The President of the German-Israeli Society, Volker Beck, was amazed that the crimes in front of the Iranian embassy were possible despite the property being protected and the perpetrators were not caught.
"If the suspicion that the Iranian embassy is involved in this attack is confirmed, there must be consequences: Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock must then expel the Iranian ambassador," Beck demanded.
