"Please no bread in the bird bath": Woman writes notes for neighbors - they don't react

A woman is at the end of her nerves: Bread keeps floating in her bird bath.
She takes action - but finally realizes that everything is different than expected.
If you have a garden and want to do something good for the animal world in it, you should prepare it accordingly for the cold season.
Birds in particular are having a hard time finding food and water now.
Many a garden lover wants to lure them into the greenery at home.

Who keeps throwing bread in the bird bath?

But the feathered animals prefer things to be untidy and like to hide in the undergrowth.
Some gardeners hang fat balls on trees and/or set up bird baths, like Ann Dixon.
She has set up a kind of large amphora on her front piece of lawn, which borders directly on the street or sidewalk.
On top of it is a bowl filled with water.
One day, Dixon notices two white loaves of bread floating in it.
She is surprised, but dismisses the fact that passers-by must have thrown food into the drinking trough.

But as it happens more and more often, she gets angry.
She assumes that one of the neighbors wants to feed the birds with the bread.
But for Dixon it's just work, she tells US news portal

Eventually she has to remove the bread because she knows birds aren't happy with it.
It also makes the water very cloudy.
In her distress, the woman decides to stick a sign on the amphora.
She then pointedly but politely pointed out to the neighbors not to throw any more bread in the bird bath.

But no one responds, no one answers, and Dixon soon learns why.
For it is not a man who does this, but a raven!
She catches the fowl at a moment when it feels unobserved.
It has a piece of bread in its beak, then the raven flies to the bird bath and throws it in there.

"The penny dropped, he was the culprit.
I was amazed, my face would have spoken volumes.
I ran inside to tell my husband as I'd been whining about this bread thing for weeks," Dixon continues.
But now she is more relaxed about the situation, they say, and have already removed the sign.
The ravens, on the other hand, don't scare them away, but now I'm all the more surprised where they (stole) all the bread from.
